We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Global Early Career Program Leader to be based in New York City.  This role offers the opportunity to join the Global Talent and Inclusion Team where we drive results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective talent solutions.

Our programs are present in 25 countries across General Insurance (underwriting, claims, operations, and actuarial) and the corporate functions (human resources, finance, technology, risk, digital, and administration) focusing on the respective domain-specific development of talent.

Our Global Early-Career Program Leader provides oversight and governance to ensure these programs are delivering high quality development opportunities to our over 200 analysts and apprentices around the world while creating the future leaders of our company.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead our AIG-wide strategy to enable the immediate development and growth of our early-career talent across the various businesses and functions; provide guidance on the various designs, development opportunities, and delivery models. Additionally, they will advance the existing programs through the introduction of new, innovative approaches aligned to the business strategy.  
  • Lead the Global Early-Careers team and stakeholders in the strategy, coordination and execution of the varied aspects of the program and employee lifecycle.
  • Engage with our business champions, program managers and stakeholders to facilitate a program experience that complements the development of their respective domains through AIG-wide networking, professional development, and mentorship.
  • Evolve the strategy to create and manage the development of (1) fundamental skills through off-the-job experiences, and (2) training and curriculum through partnership with our Learning & Development team, key organizations, and educational institutions.
  • Partner with our talent acquisition team to create and deliver a strategy that enables the sourcing of high-quality talent pools and to ensure a consistent and exceptional onboarding experience for all participants.
  • Consult and partner with business and HR stakeholders on workforce talent and learning needs to ensure programs/solutions are aligned to business objectives.
  • Interpret and analyze data to define and inform our key indicators of success of the programs, as well as to identify improvement opportunities to consider in the future of the programs.
  • Leverage talent and performance data and insights to determine appropriate Learning & Development curriculum and career experiences to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Support the team in managing budgets, costs and vendors to ensure talent strategies and solutions are both effective and efficient.
  • Provide program status updates to business and HR stakeholders on the utilization, success, and outcomes of programs.
  • Provide direction to the global Early-Careers team, setting goals and regularly measuring performance and providing feedback.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in driving people and talent strategies; experience leading an early-career program a plus.
  • Proven ability and motivation to design, develop and implement initiatives which support business strategy and AIG culture.
  • Proven ability to consult with and influence within a matrixed organization; interacting with key stakeholders up to and including the executive leadership team.
  • Demonstrated excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within a busy, team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
