Job Description

Daikin Applied is seeking an HR Program Manager - Early Career! The Early Career Program Manager is responsible for the strategy, designing, implementing and managing enterprise wide programs to attract, hire, onboard, and retain early career professionals - including interns, co-ops, apprenticeships and new graduates (up to first 5 years of employment). This includes design and implementation of recruitment strategies, onboarding processes, and development initiatives. Under general direction, this individual will evaluate and define the go-forward strategy for the Early Career Program, including the addition of new graduate hiring, and will identify what’s working with existing program as well as areas of opportunity for continuous improvement. He/She will identify target schools and build relationships, attend job fairs and partner with each school’s Career Services office to create programs to connect with students interested in pursuing a career in the trades in order to create a future talent pipeline. What you will do:

Program Design & Strategy
Evaluate existing Internship program to identify areas of strength and opportunities for greater effectiveness. Explore whether Co-Ops would be a fit for DAA and build new graduate hiring program
Create and execute comprehensive plans to attract, recruit, and retain early career
professionals, including outreach, recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support
Partner with DAA Leaders to ensure early career programs are aligned with company goals
Manage the budget for early career programs, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness


Outreach and Engagement
Identify target schools and build new and/or leverage existing relationships with Universities, Technical Colleges, High Schools, and student organizations to build talent pipelines
Represent DAA job fairs, community events, and career expos
Guide candidates through the application and interview process
Coach and mentor program participants to ensure engagement and development

Program Management
Lead end-to-end program operations including resource allocation, budget management, onboarding, training, development, mentorship, etc.
Manage program calendars, communications, and stakeholder engagement
Ensure a seamless experience for participants and managers
Organize and execute learning events, networking sessions, career development activities, and training sessions to support the development of program participants
Act as trainer and coach to leaders within the programs to ensure that best in class talent practices (goal setting, regular coaching, career and feedback conversations, performance management, development planning etc.) are utilized
Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement

Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with business leaders to identify hiring opportunities and align talent with business needs
Communicate program status, successes, and challenges to stakeholders. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on program outcomes and conversion trends
Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Talent Acquisition team members, HR Business Partners and department managers to ensure successful integration and support
Practice continuous learning to build subject matter expertise and serve as a trusted advisor on Early Career best practices
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment, onboarding, and conversion strategies
Data Analysis, Compliance and Reporting
Evaluate existing metrics and make necessary improvements to track and analyze program data to measure effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and report on key metrics to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to early career hiring

Other Talent Management work/projects
Partner with TM team members as needed to assist with and cross-train on projects/programs

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business, Education, Communications or related field
6-8 Years of Program or Project Management, Talent Acquisition, HR, or related field
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position 

Preferred Qualifications: 

2-4 Years of experience in HR Talent or Talent Acquisition Processes
Continuous improvement capabilities
Deep knowledge of and experience in leading talent management and development processes
Change management experience
Thorough understanding of HR practices and policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Talent Acquisition Experience
HRIS systems experience
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 - $148,800 + 10% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
